Dr. Ian Taylor MBBS  (WA)  DRANZCOG 

Ian

Dr. Taylor is a Graduate of the University of WA with a Diploma in Obstetrics from the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.  He has over 25 years experience as a General Practitioner and his special interests include Anaesthetics, Obstetrics, Ophthalmology, Palliative Care and Drug/Alcohol treatment.   

He is a mad 4WD enthusiast, photographer, Rotarian, a past president of Theatre 8, and he drives everybody nuts with his classical music!

 
 

Dr Keith Figueiredo MBBS (UWA), DA, FRACGP, FACRRM, DRANZCOG

Keith Figueiredo

Dr. Figueiredo is a graduate of the University of WA, has a Diploma of Anaesthetics (UK), with a Diploma in Obstetrics from the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians, is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and fellow of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine.

His special interests include Anaesthesia, Obstetrics and Pediatrics. He enjoys tennis, cycling, gardening and wine tasting. 

 
 

Dr Murray James-Wallace MBBS (UWA), DRANZCOG, Dip. Child Health, FRACGP

Murray James Wallace

Dr. James-Wallace is a graduate of the University of Western Australia and is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of GP’s. He provides anaesthetics, enjoys obstetrics and any form of family medicine.  In his spare time he helps run a Sunday School and a youth group at the Geraldton Baptist Church.

His lawyer is his wife! But he has to represent himself around the house. He drives a state-of-the-art 4WD, but prefers the more reliable rental cars that the warranty people provide. 

 
 

Dr Aubrey James Francis BSc, MBChB, MFGP

Aubrey Francis

Dr. Francis is a graduate of the University of Capetown and a member of the Faculty of GP’s at this university. He has 41 years experience as a GP with special interest in family medicine, men’s health, relaxation therapy and wellness. 

Leisure pursuits include cycling, golf, windsurfing, Italian opera and, of course a glass of ‘fine red’. He also dabbles in watercolors which compliments his wife’s quilting, who after years of working beside him, has now retired to pursue her passion full-time.  

 
 

Dr Tonya Constantine MBBS (UWA), Diploma Child Health, FRACGP 

Tonya Constantine

Dr. Constantine is a graduate of the University of WA and is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. She is currently working part-time as a non-procedural GP, enjoying all aspects of family medicine, however does not practice obstetrics.

Tonya has special interests in Women’s Health, Aged Care and Pediatrics. Once a month she does a country trip to Morawa and Three Springs so the women in these communities have access to a female GP.

In her non-paid employment she is a wife and mother. While not being a slave to her 4 children and husband, family taxi driver, washer woman etc, she enjoys a variety of sporting interests – basketball, hockey, and football and enjoys the Cottesloe to Rottnest Team swim.  

 
 

Dr Edwin Kruys MD, FRACGP

Edwin Kruys

Dr. Edwin Kruys is a graduate of the University of Amsterdam (2000), The Netherlands, and is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

Edwin has a special interest in travel medicine. He has worked in WA, Queensland, The Netherlands and Kenya. In his spare time Edwin likes playing guitar & piano. He is also responsible for this web site.

Occasionally you may find him driving on the right side of the road but otherwise he has adapted very well to the Australian way of life.

 
 
Dr Petronella (Elly) Slootmans, MBCHB, LMCC, CCFP, FRACGP
Dr Elly Slootmans

Dr. Elly is a graduate of the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa, and is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

Elly worked in Canada for 14 years prior to settling in Geraldton. She does all aspects of general family medicine with special interest in obstetrics, women's health, paediatrics and palliative care.

She is a rotarian, ulyssian, and enjoys studying French as well as sharing dr Ian Taylor's interest in opera and classical music. Listening to jazz, supporting the Western Force and Eagles are close seconds.

 

Dr Noreen Parshad, FRACGP

Noreen Parshad

Dr Noreen Parshad is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

She has a passion for Women’s health and Aboriginal health services, specializing in Obstetrics, Gynecology, Family planning and Pediatrics.

Noreen’s general interests include reading, travelling, walking, hiking, cooking and charities.

 

Dr Katy Templeman MBBS (WA), FRACGP, Dip Child Health
Katy

Dr Templeman graduated from the University of Western Australia in 1993. She came to Geraldton in 1999 and now works part time with the Medical Group and part time with The Rural Clinical School, teaching and supervising medical students who spend their year in Geraldton.

Her special interests include Women's Health, Paediatrics, Palliative Care and rural medical education. She also visits Kalbarri and Mullewa on a regular basis providing a “visiting female GP service”.

When not at work, she is mother to 3 children, Harry, Tess and Rose. Her hobbies include fishing and cooking and she is known for her love of shoes!!

 
Dr Helko Schenk, MRCGP-UK, FARCGP
Dr Helko Schenk

Graduated of University Jena (Germany 1994), worked and studied in Hungary, South Africa, UK, Germany and WA. He spends time sailing, classical guitar playing, camping and at Bunnings.

After he moved to WA from the UK in 2001, where he had enjoyed 6 years of postgraduate training and near successful erasure of his krautish character, he travelled back to his native breeding and mating grounds, fetched a wife had a daughter, planted a tree and successfully infiltrated the British forces.

He and his family are now about to settle in Geraldton. Helko likes all aspects of family and hands-on medicine at the practice.

 
 
Dr Nikee Msuo BSc, MBBS (Qld), FRACGP, Adv. DRANZCOG, Diploma Womens Health
Dr Nikee Msuo

Nikee is a graduate of the University of Queensland and has her advanced diploma in obstetrics and a diploma in womens health.

Nikee is fully qualified as an obstetric proceduralist including caesarian section.

As a mother of four, there is not much time for hobbies, but she also enjoys all outdoor activities, including hockey and swimming.

 
Dr Bertel Bulten, MD, FRACGP
Dr Bertel Bulten

Bertel is a graduate of the Nijmegen University (1991),The Netherlands and is a registered qualified General Practitioner of the Royal Dutch Medical Association.

He enjoys all aspects of general medicine and is also interested in Aboriginal Health and Prison Health. Once a month he visits Yalgoo to provide health service.
 
He worked in the Netherlands in General Practice for 10 years and after a 'working holiday' in Carnarvon, Australia seduced him and his wife and three children; they came out to WA early 2008. So far he was only found once driving on the right side of the road.

In his spare time he entertains his family with singing classical music, tries to read books, rides his bicycle daily, visits the gym and attempts to (wind)surf, to snorkel and to  drive his 4WD as a 4WD.

 
Dr Frauke Alexander
Dr Frauke Alexander

Frauke graduated at University Essen (1989), Germany. She has worked in England, Wales, Scotland and Germany. She has worked in paediatrics for 8 years before becoming a GP. Frouke has special interests in paediatrics.

She landed in Australia late 2008 and went straight to Geraldton. She is a passionate horse woman and is still brokenhearted from having to sell her 2 lovely horses prior to coming to WA.

Frouke is a classical musician, qualified in piano and cello before going into medicine. She still loves music! Her husband is an ex-army officer and still in total command at home (or at least he thinks he is, according to Frauke).
