Home visits may be arranged for regular patients whose condition prevents them from attending the surgery or hospital. This needs to be agreed to by the patient’s doctor.
Telephone messages. If you feel you need to talk to the doctor you may leave your name, phone number and brief message which shall be forwarded to the doctor. The doctor shall then usually return the call after completing the consultation list. Unless urgent the doctors prefer not to be disturbed during patient consultations.

Personal information. All patients’ personal information is stored on computer with password access by your doctor. Hard copies of patient’s records are kept until the patient has reached the age of 25 or for a minimum of 7 years from the time of last contact with the patient, whichever is the longer. Medical interests. The Geraldton Medical Group, besides being a General Practice, provides specialist services on-site: Registered Nursing Treatment, Pathology, Urinalysis Dip Testing, Spirometry, Audiology, Well Men's and Women's Health Checks, Travel Advice, Immunisations, Obstetrics, Anaesthetics, Minor Surgery and Hormonal Implants.
Medical instruments are sterilized off-site according to RACGP sterilization standards. We are an AGPAL accredited medical practice.
Teaching. This practice is actively involved in the teaching of medical and nursing students. If students are in-room with the GP, patients are informed prior to the consultation and given the right of refusal.
Results. Please ring between 1pm – 3pm if you want to know the results of any investigations performed on you. This practice has a recall and reminder system in place for abnormal test results and other follow-ups.
Children and babies. A change table and other facilities for parents with babies are available in the toilet blocks.
Facilities for the disabled. Wheelchair access is provided to all rooms, including the toilet, which has special facilities. A wheelchair is available to transport patients to or from your vehicle.
Translation services. Please let our receptionist know if you require translation services. We also have a number of doctors available that speak foreign languages.
Non-smoking. Thank you for not smoking on our premises.
Complaints. Any suggestions or complaints should be forwarded in writing to the attention of the practice manager. A government organization has been established in Western Australia to address and resolve formal complaints.
