GMG Directors Pathway Program

The Directors Pathway Program is designed to assist doctors who wish to acquire additional skills in the area of business management with a view to becoming a teamleader, non-owner director or business owner. The in-house Directors Pathway will help prepare doctors for successful directorship and creates an opportunity for doctors to demonstrate the required competencies.

It will provide candidates with a basic understanding of contemporary Australian business practices, and it focuses heavily on developing organisational and teamwork skills, managing performance, professional development, and providing leadership across the organisation. Various components and project-based activities are included in the Directors Pathway, including:

• - Corporate governance & clinical governance;
• - Leadership & management;
• - Project/process management;
• - Financial management;
• - Business management course.
